If you’re going on a trip but you’re not exactly sure what to pack for your smile, our David A. Browne, DDS, PC team is more than happy to help you!

Oral hygiene is extremely important, even while you are traveling, so it’s best to take the following smile-cleaning items with you wherever you go:

-Travel toothbrush: Travel toothbrushes are convenient because they are small, they don’t take up much room, and they are perfect for traveling. So, don’t forget to pack your travel toothbrush along with your toothbrush cover. Make sure the cover has ventilation characteristics so your brush can dry out after you use it.

-Travel toothpaste: If you are traveling on an airplane, you need to remember that your toothpaste can’t weigh more than 3.4 ounces. If it does, it will get confiscated. So, it’s best to pack a travel-sized paste that meets the weight requirements.

-Floss: Make sure to pack a flossing product of your choice with you. You will need to floss your smile at least once a day if you want to have a top-notch oral health. Floss will also be handy if you accidentally get food stuck in your teeth. If you have floss, you can remove the food without any problems.

-Mouthwash: Again, make sure your mouthwash does not weigh more than 3.4 ounces if you are traveling on a plane. There are travel-sized washes you can purchase just for that reason. Make sure you rinse your mouth daily so you can properly clean your smile and have the fresh breath you deserve.

Your dentist in McHenry, Illinois, and our dental team care about you and your oral health, which is why we encourage you to keep up on oral hygiene every day, even while you’re on the road. The more you brush, floss, and rinse, the better off your smile will be.
